Ginatilan is a town rich in ancestral heritage: historical buildings and ancestral homes built over a hundred years ago.
This town is located about 130 kilometers from Cebu City, the provincial island’s capital city. The town itself is set in the southwestern part of the metropolitan.
Ginatilan is the hometown of the recently canonized saint Pedro Calungsod.

This sanctuary also serves as a nursery for various fish species to help increase fish population and potential of fish catch by local fishers who use traditional method of fishing.
It is a popular falls among people with passion for nature. It has an interesting three levels of waterfalls. Still located in Ginatilan in the small Barangay of Calabawan. Come to relax and enjoy the refreshing cool water of the falls.
Lighthouses appeal not to everyone. However, those who loves peace, panoramic view or romantic environment lighthouses are amazing. This lighthouse, unlike most lighthouses in the province, it serves as guide to sea navigators and fishers especially in the dark and cold night in the area. A nice place to see.
And, there are a lot more interesting and worth seeing in this area of Cebu. For example, you can visit Ginatilan’s Millennium Park where you can just walk around, relax and watch the fantastic and dreamy sight of the sunset.

You may take a bus from South Bus Terminal bound for Bato via Barili for a fare of around 170pesos (or above). It usually takes about 4 to 5 hours from Cebu City. Don’t worry because you can enjoy either taking a nap inside or watching the view of the beaches and provincial life along the way.
If you are coming from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, you can easily get a metered-taxi from there to Cebu City (alternative is jeepney but could take longer).
From the South Bus Terminal in Cebu City, you can take a 4-5-hour bus ride from Cebu with the following buses (coach):
• Ceres and Rough Rider buses via Barili route
• Ceres and Sunrays buses via Oslob route
• Rent a car, V-hire vehicles or Taxi
